This article, celebrating Utrecht (in the Netherlands) with photos and musings, was published in May 2020, and followed a Fall 2019 trip that ended fortuitously right before the onset of the Pandemic.  So I fondly put together the article, as a nostalgic ode to travel as well as to whet the appetite for post-pandemic travels.  I’ve collected tens of thousands of photographs from countless trips to favorite places in Europe, but it’s been a private collection until The Hook Magazine graciously took a chance publishing my images and musings.  Thanks also to my husband for making sure I didn’t get hit by oncoming traffic while photographing, and to my daughter, who kindly hosted us at her spacious apartment for a week and allowed us to distract her from her studies at Utrecht University – before smartly kicking us out the door to explore the northern coast of Spain.
